Bagless Canister Vacuum Review

Do you still have a vacuum that needs its bag replaced every time it is full? You drive all over town to find the store that still sells the bags for your old vacuum that kind of earns a spot in the antique store by now? Replacing these bags is an expensive and often even a messy experience. Models change and the bags for the newer bag vacuums do not fit right in many of the older vacuums. They are hard to come by and driving around to find these bags only adds to the cost. It is also a very time-consuming activity. The time you have to spend to find the right bags for your old vacuum could instead be spent by interacting with your children or your honey.

But the industry came up with the right solution to this prevailing problem. Bagless canister vacuums are indeed the perfect vacuums everybody has been waiting for. Sure, they have been around for a number of years. But those early bagless canister vacuums are nothing compared to the sophisticated models that are on the shelves of the small appliances stores today. The idea was there and was introduced with the early models of bagless canister vacuums, but perfection in bagless vacuum cleaners has not been available until recently.

No more bags! That fact alone will do wonders to the mind of any of us who were halfway done vacuuming when they realized they just filled up the last bag. When you come to that realization your options are indeed very limited. First you try to remember where you bought those bags last year. That time you bought a year-supply of bags, realizing that they were getting hard to come by.

You want to get in your car and head towards the little store that was still selling them last year. But then you realize that your husband might bring a guest to your house while you are gone and you do not want your guest to see the halfway vacuumed room. You end up taking the bag out and you try to empty it out somewhat with the intention to put it back into the vacuum cleaner and continue the job before you leave on your bag hunt. Believe me, it never works.

The area around your trash can is now officially a disaster area, your hands smell like they have never smelled before, and the darn bag won’t fit anymore in its place in the vacuum. You end up leaving your husband a voicemail and head to the little store. Of course it is rush hour and it takes you quite a while to get to the area.

Parking is a problem in that area of town where these older stores are located and upon your arrival you find out that the store is out and is not going to carry these bags anymore or that the store is closed because the owner retired or the building was taken down for a modern compartment store.

The alternative…: Bagless canister vacuums!

There is no doubt about it. Bagless canister vacuums are the first step to a clean house at all times. The canister is manufactured out of a strong material and goes along for the duration of the life of your vacuum. It is easy to remove the canister from the vacuum and empty it in your trash can. Anybody can do it. Your elementary-age son can do it!

Upright bagless vacuums are just as other upright vacuums the more powerful ones. Downside to these vacuums is that they are a little heavier and that makes it harder when your physical strength is not optimal or when you have to vacuum the stairs.

Handheld bagless vacuums are easier to handle for the weaker individuals or for vacuuming stairs, but these vacuums tend to be less powerful than the upright bagless vacuums and going over the area a second time to get the leftover dust is a little more time consuming. It needs to be noted that handheld bagless vacuums are still considerably stronger than the traditional broom or stick vacuums.
